Advice for the church from 1877

Found this interesting. I know it’s hard to read, but here’s what item numbers 5 and 6 say.

“5. Whenever you come into church, look around to see that every thing is in order, the house warm, and not too warm; ventilated enough, and not too much. Do not leave these things to the preacher, nor yet expect him to keep order. Keep an eye on the unruly boys yourself. 6. Give attention to strangers; precure them seats.”

Still good advice for today, don’t ya think?
